RUF@Alabama

Welcome to Reformed University Fellowship at Alabama

RUF is a campus ministry at the University of Alabama.  Any 'walk of life' is welcome to join us on Tuesday nights, 8:30 pm in Shelby 1093 (note: room change due to tuesday night class schedule, see map at bottom of page).  At RUF we seek to create an environment where students can grow in their faith, question the truth claims of Christianity, or just see what this 'Christian' thing is all about.  We also offer several smaller venues of fellowship throughout the week.  Check out the 'calendar' page for more details.

Our first gathering this spring will be on Tuesday,  August 24 at 8:30, in Shelby 1093.  We can't wait to see you all this fall, RUF's 30th year at Alabama.  Roll Tide!

“The gospel is not something partial or piecemeal: it takes in the whole life, the whole of history, the whole world.  It tells us about the creation and the final judgment and everything in between.  It is a complete, whole view of life, and many are unhappy in the Christian life because they have never realized that this way of life caters for the whole of man’s life and covers every eventuality in his experience.  There is no aspect of life but that the gospel has something to say about it.  The whole of life must come under its influence because it is all- inclusive; the gospel is meant to control and govern everything in our lives.”

               -D. Martyn Lloyd-Jones, Spiritual Depression

Gospel LIfe (aka, SaLT) is a 22 lesson study targeted for Sophomores that covers topics in theology and the Christian faith.  Broken up into two parts, 'What God Has Done In Christ: What's going on?' and 'How We Experience The Gospel: How do I get involved?,' we will look together at the story of scripture and God's mission to redeem all things.  This is a great place for those looking to grow in their understanding and knowledge of the faith as well as enter into good discussion and question asking.  We will begin Monday, Aug. 30 at 6:30 pm.  .
